Job opportunity: Farm Lead

We are looking for a farmer/gardener to join our crew this Spring! If you love flowers, being part of a creative community and are self-motivated, we would love to hear from you. Please see below for more information. 

Position: Farm Lead

Farm Lead role includes: 

• Seed starting and care

• Bed prep, planting and weeding

• Harvesting and harvest record keeping

• Processing area maintenance (ex. washing buckets)

• Selling at the Saturday Farmers Market

• Supporting the Studio and Event Leads

• And other general farm tasks 

Duration: April 1- October 30 (possibility for extension)

Hours and pay: 25-35 hours/wk @ $25/hr

Requirements: 

• 2 years of growing experience as a farmer, farm hand or landscaper

• Passionate and curious about growing flowers

• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions 

• Physically fit to lift, bend, shovel, etc

• Strong communication skills

• Access to a vehicle + Class 5 BC driver’s license​

• Ability to follow instructions in a timely manner 

• Committed to the full growing season
